Such a day it was. 5 teams. Best in the world. Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Argentina and France. The fixtures were set, teams were picked and kick off was hotly anticipated. 5 rounds of games to see who could qualify for the finals. Every point and goal counted toward the total. The games were hot and heavy, some amazing team goals and some outstanding individual efforts. Defending every attack and players covering every blade of grass. There even was a goal from a kickout that would have gave Tim Howard’s 102 yarder in 2012 for Everton a run for its money. The tournament had everything. Congratulations to eventual winners Argentina who beat Group Topers Brazil in penalties after a 3-3 draw in normal time. Most importantly all day, the kids had a blast and there were over 40 kids taking part. School sport is the best!
