Our young scientists had a great time investigating how to make toothpaste. They followed a recipe from the ‘Bright Smile Toothpaste Company’ and used many ingredients. They thought about how it should look by adding food colouring and how it smelt by adding a flavouring. They also discovered the special ingredient needed to thicken the toothpaste for it to stay on the toothbrush. Once created, they then investigated how effective their toothpaste was at removing stains.
